It’s Not Fair – The Indignity of Medical Debt

In today’s world of COVID, the great resignation, supply chain disruption and remote everything, being forced to suffer the indignity of medical debt is just not fair.

Too many working Americans cannot afford to use their HDHP medical plan. One of the consequences of unaffordable medical insurance are the billions of dollars of medical debt that suffocates peoples’ credit reports and burdens them with financial insecurity.

Working Americans who have medical insurance select between the lesser of evils. Millions of people, when deciding if they can afford to receive medical treatments, are forced to choose payday loans, 401k withdrawals, borrowing from family, GoFundMe, delaying treatment, not renewing prescriptions or using credit cards to access the care they deserve.

Each year Catilize Health contributes to RIP Medical Debt, a non-profit whose goal is to extinguish the outstanding medical debts on peoples’ credit reports, which is in perfect alignment with our mission. RIP Medical Debt has successfully relieved over $5B in medical debt.

In 2021 Catilize Health paid off and eliminated the debt of 2,613 individuals totaling over $5.9M!

Catilize Health administers the most fair and equitable medical plan by eliminating 100% of the out of pocket expense for employees and their dependents. For nineteen years we have eliminated hundreds of millions of dollars in expenses for tens of thousands of participants nationwide.
